Welcome!

Culver Elementary School educates students in kindergarten through sixth grade. We are a school of approximately 500 students. Culver Elementary also houses one of the Marshall County Head Start Pre-School programs.

Culver Elementary School has had all-day kindergarten for several years. We now are able to offer this program to 100% of our incoming kindergarteners. We also have a Title 1 program for eligible students in grades one through six. During the 2008-09 school year we expanded our High Ability program to include students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Culver Elementary School also provides services to special education students in the areas of hearing impairment, emotional disability, learning disability, mild mental disability, and communication disorder.

We have been using the 3-Tier Reading Model for several years. We administer the DIBELS assessment to all students three times a year.

Culver Elementary School has a principal and an assistant principal. We have 35 certified teachers on staff with the support of 28 additional personnel who serve as secretaries, classroom assistants, cooks and custodians. We share a social worker and guidance counselor with two other schools in the corporation. We also share a school nurse and two technology specialists throughout the corporation. The students of this community are fortunate to have such a strong, caring group of teachers and support staff to help them become as successful as they can.

We encourage the support and assistance of community members in helping us continue to provide the best possible education to our students.
